Could have been better - Die Another Day Reviews
Die Another Day's main weakness was it's story. A lot of scenes did not match the storyline. I'd have to say the only thing good about this movie is the special effects. Halle Berry did hardly any effort in the way of acting. I've seen her do better. I was happy I waited for the DVD to come out becuase I don't think it would have been worth a trip to the theater.
Bad - Die Another Day Reviews

You better die another day! - Die Another Day Reviews
Tamahori's direction gets you in the mood for explosions at the first second of this 007 action film. One of the best things about James Bond is that his arch-enemy's plans always fail just about 5 min. before the plan was perfect. Brosnan's voice always sounds as though even when he has a disease that changes your voice, his voice just sounds the same. The End
P.S. You better Die Another Day!
How many james bond movies are their going to be - Die Another Day Reviews
Although this is probally the best James Bond to me, because of all the action, and the cool car. Also how the enemy has a satilite that can melt(kill, blow up) anything he wants to. And with that JAmes has to run away from it on his car. I thought that was pretty cool. But how many new gadgets can someone come up with. And how many different plots can someone think of?
Die another day should have died before production - Die Another Day Reviews
I am shocked by some of the reviews that I have seen on this movie. How it could even get a "C" rating amazes me. Apparently, Bond fans no longer have any plot, script or casting demands what-so-ever. In this new age of cinema it appears that, special effects, regardless of their absurdity are the only thing that sell.
First, let me say that I am by no means one to shun the occasionally outrageous stunt sequence or spectacular set of special effects, especially in a Bond movie. I love them as much as the next guy and always enter a Bond movie in a very liberal state of suspended disbelief. However, the stunts and effects of this movie were downright comical in their absurdity.
That along with frequent, witless one-liners from a shckingly bad Halle Berry and an uninspired plot made for a Bond Movie that taints the entire series and is unquestionably the worst Bond by far.
Berry's performance was so feeble that it actually made me forgive Denise Richards for her Bond performance. What happened to the sophisticated, forgein, exotic female leads that used to make Bond movies, "Bond Movies"? Who's next, Jennifer Love Hewitt?
As bad as this movie was the opening sequence was actually very well done and may have been what fooled all these other reviewers into believing that they were watching a quality movie. After it ends, however, the only reason to watch the rest of the movie is to see just how stupid and absurd the special effects in a movie can be and still generate a mindless following from the undemanding digital effects junkies out there. This movie puts the Ian Flemming legacy in jepordy!

Very average - Die Another Day Reviews
I didn't remember hardly a thing about this movie 30 minutes after I finished it. The James Bond saga has really gone downhill lately, with Goldeneye the only truly good one in the Pierce Brosnan era. Too bad.
Classic bond is classic bond - Die Another Day Reviews
Before I write anything, let me just say one thing...the only thing that was a little strange about this movie was that Bond, at the very beginning, was tortured!!! He can't be tortured, he's Bond!!! He's supposed to be invincible!!! :-) anyways, other than that little thing, it was a great movie. Classic Bond flick. Halle Berry was perfect as a bond girl and the special effects were very well done. I agree with the filmakers that this Bond movie tops their last one and that the next will hopefully top this one, a hard task to accomplish. I strongly recommend it to Bond fanatics. :-)
Thunderbomb - Die Another Day Reviews
Not even worth the $2.50 I spent on the rental. Banal story at par with the worst Roger Moore flicks. Most pornos have better acting than Halle Berry's in this show.

For popcorn this does well - Die Another Day Reviews
This is a Bond with less humor and more orange bikini. Bonds back and in my opinion one of the best bonds in awhile. And Pierce? I think one of the best Bonds. The enemy is extremly cool, he has diamonds in his face that were for some reason never removed, but that makes him look cooler. Oh and Bonds car, damn nice. Oh yea, effects. They are pretty sweet, except that surfing like scene, that was just corny. But the invisible car and the cliff crumbling are cool. Also the DVD menu is among the best I've seen before.
Good bond, barrows from diamonds are forever - Die Another Day Reviews
I liked this most of the way through, but the end has more "yah rights" than the whole rest of the movie. It also becomes cartoony and almost lame. That said, it is a good, fun, colerful bond film, with an exelent supporting cast, espcialy Pike and Madsen. Good special effects. Cleese is a good new Q.
What happened to the real james bond? - Die Another Day Reviews
I miss the old days when james bond movies were a definite mix of humorous banter and mild action sequences. Now they are total violence made to appeal to the morons who liked XXX. God forbid any movie has a plot anymore.

A farewell celebration! - Die Another Day Reviews
Unknown at the time to be Brosnan's swan song performance, it was a high note to go out on.
Just slightly too campy a 20th Celebration film, the movie simply rehashes the plot points of the films before it, all tied together into one neat package. True, we've never seen Bond so bruised or for that matter captured, but the realistic spy caper is lost upon the rehashed gadgetry.
Brosnan does his usual best, giving another fine portrayal of the world's greatest suave super-spy, even against Halle Berry's sort of stale 'Yo' Momma' CIA agent (and she wanted a spin-off too, ha!).
More than just a 007 film, it serves as a chronicle of just long Bond has entertained us, and how we long for more Flemming-esque adventures.
Die today...please !! - Die Another Day Reviews
I have been a fan of the Bond movies since childhood. I grew up during the Moore era in the 70s,but my favourite Bond is Connery..much more realistic and believable..he was Bond..charming yet ruthless and brutal when the need arose. Lazenby wasnt bad in his one outing and Dalton did his best with the scripts he was given despite having the potential as an actor to do better than they made him look. Moores reign was the beginning of the downfall of the Bond movies as he turned Bond into a cheesy smarmy comedian as opposed to a ruthless brutal assassin. Brosnan had the potential to bring things back to the Connery glory days but unfortunately for him after a good start, the writers took him down the Moore direction and the result is this movie..the most embarrassing pathetic disgrace of a movie i have seen in a long time and by far the biggest joke of a Bond movie ever witnessed. Theres no plot to speak of....(Koreans who morph into white upper class english toffs with perfect accents...scenes ripped off from about every Bond movie ever made etc)..were the writers smoking the funny stuff when they dreamed this crap up? The acting...dreadful..particularly Halle Berry..she may be a honey but how did this woman manage to win an oscar?? Worst of all..and what condemned this movie to be a laughing stock..the CGI effects..invisible cars? Bond surfing a tsunami wave on a plastic cockpit cover and a parachute he managed to rustle together in mid air after destroying a rocket car? a car chase around an ice palace..(Im guessing Superman will be pissed when he learns Bond damaged his Fortress Of Solitude)...whoever dreamed this muck up deserves to be shot..lazy scriptwriting that just copied the worst excessess from the movie XXX,and multiplied them by 10 in order to make more money..as if they hadnt made enough from all the product placement already. This rubbish is so far removed from the Fleming Books and the original Connery Bond that its an insult to them to call this a " Bond" movie. I have written this having already seen the next bond movie "Casino Royale" and thankfully the producers learned from their mistakes,Daniel Craig is a fantastic Bond..and the series is thankfully going back to its Connery roots...and it just served to make me realise just quite how bad this movie was..rent the Connery movies and go see the new Craig one if you want to see a real Bond movie...leave this one for the comedy channel...where it belongs.

Its still bond - Die Another Day Reviews
You can count on that, Pierce Brosan is the best bond since Sean Connery, and this movie shows it. Although its far from the best, its also far from the worst, and it may be the first one with a female character whos more than a sex simble.
One of the bond films, in the general middle, so its a good film.
Die another day - Die Another Day Reviews
This is the 20th Bond film for the 40th anniversary of James Bond on screen. Pierce Brosnan plays the hero that we have now known for 40 years at the cinema. This film has sequences you may remember from the previous films, but it still ties in. Madonna appears twice, both singing the theme tune, and also playing a fencing instructor. Bond teams up with the beautiful agent Jinx (Halle Berry) and goes up against a very interesting villain named Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens), he met before in the opening sequence. Also he meets again with diamond faced Zao. This is filled with marvellous scenery and fantastic effects, we also see the return of the Aston Martin with a new name, the Vanquish, or Vanish as the new Q (John Cleese) calls it. Very Good!
Bronsan's best bond movie since "goldeneye" - Die Another Day Reviews
I don't care what the critics say or what other people say. Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond. The difference between Brosnan, Sean Connery, and Roger Moore is that Brosnan is more of a risk-taking Bond. Pierce is fun to watch as James Bond because he fits the character so well.
Halle Berry did a great job too. The thing I loved about her character was the fact that she wasn't another "damsel in distress" like the other Bond girls. She was just as bold and daring as Bond. The thing about Berry's character was that she was playing "Hard to Get" with Bond better than the other Bond girls. The bottom line is Halle Berry is FINE! and her character one of those girls who could take care of herself despite the fact that Bond had to save her behind...TWICE!
Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry made a very good team in this Bond thriller because they played their roles so well. I don't see why they shouldn't do the next Bond film together cuz they did a good job carrying the load for this film. Overall, I give this film 3.5 stars.
