Like the old days... - Die Another Day Reviews
The story has been changed compared with the traditional bond. The reason is that we are living in the 21 century!Bond's weapons and tricks were more advanced. The film combines action and adventure like the old ones.Bierce and Berry are fine;Berry achieved a strong character like we expected.
Wow!! - Die Another Day Reviews
This was the big movie of the year, it was great best of 2002 by a mile........DAMN halle berry's fine!
A failed attempt - Die Another Day Reviews
How could anybody turn suave and handsome James Bond into a silly talking, mindless idiot? I don't know.
James Bond has been caught by North Korean terrorists. As a punishment, he is tortured for 14 months. He eventually escapes and meets Jinx (Halle Berry) and they set of on a mindless blowfest to find a culprit.
The first scene should be called "Pieces of junk flying around so you can't see a thing." The following movie isn't an improvement. Piere should be fired for making a loved action hero look like a mindless jock. Halle Berry is fair but only just.
In a better point of view, the visuals are ok.
What a disapointment. I am NEVER seeing this again.

The worst bond film yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Die Another Day Reviews
This is the most unrealistic Bond film yet. Invisible cars? Swimming in -degrees waters? A woman diving backward off of a 500ft cliff? Q sucks! Pierce Brosnan is the worst James Bond! People, Go watch Dr. NO or Goldfinger! Not these stupid new Bonds that dont even compare to the old ones!

Eat my a$$ hollywood part 3 - Die Another Day Reviews
This movie is just another example of how bad Hollywood movies can get. This is by far the worst Bond film ever. Bond films used to be good, what the f*** happened. I'll tell ya what happened, Hollywood a$$ munchers sold out big time. I remember all the BMW commercials addvertising this stupid Bond movie. There were commerials on TV all the time for it, i remember like it was yesterday. Why do Hollywood executives do this all the time for? Well, because they are for the most part really $greedy$. It was really obvious to me that the producers of this film were not trying to make a good movie for the fans to injoy but to make a poo load of money off of it. They were all just way too busy making butt loads of money to make a decient film. But thats Hollywood for ya.
If it wasn't for the $h**y acting this movie might have been ok. Just about everyone in the whole movie was bad. Not really all that suprised.
There were some ok special effects but thats all.
So now that you know the answer to why Hollywood a$$ munchers make bad movies tell your friends.
Warn them.
Bond could have been better - Die Another Day Reviews
This movie was good overall, but could have been better. The plot and acting in the film weren't all that, like I expected. As for Halle Berry, I think she did good, but it was more of a down in her career. And Pierce Bronsnan (James Bond) never suprises me. You know what he's going to do, get the ladies. So predictable.
Possibly my new favorite bond movie of all time - Die Another Day Reviews
I loved Die Another Die! I have been a die-hard Bond fan since middle school. And while Sean Connery is fabulous as Bond, Pierce Brosnan is as good, if not better. Halle Berry's Jinx kicks ass (literally and figuratively). She is witty, intelligent, sexy, and strong. As well, Judi Dench's M is really growing a strong rapport with Bond. John Cleese's R, while not a true replacement for Desmond Llewellyn, is a worthy successor. The Bond villains (and there were so many) were multi-dimensional and not over-the-top. Plus, the movie was full of homages to the past Bond movies. Finally, Miss Moneypenny...she had the best scene in the movie! Now I just can't decide if my favorite Bond film is this or Goldeneye. Guess I'll have to watch them again! *grins*

One word, dissapointing - Die Another Day Reviews
I love the Bond movies and was anxious to see this one. The begining was awesome. The graphics were sweet, and it reminded me of the Bond video games. I never blinked that whole time.
Then things went bad.
For a couple minutes we had to sit through Bond being tortured, poor visuals, and worst of all, a HORRIBLE performance by Madonna. Then it got booooooorinnnnng. I was sitting there the whole time going, "God, hurry up and blow something up, shoot out the bad guy, something!!" I got out of the theatre thinking, "That sucked and it sucked BAD."
Pathetic excuse for a movie! - Die Another Day Reviews
This movie is possibly the worst movie ever made, and not just because it has terrible acting, story, pretty much terrible everything but also because it's a James Bond movie and James Bond movies have always been the pinacle of eveything GOOD in a film. Goldeneye being the last REAL James Bond movie, it boasted all the wonderful aspects of the saga that any great movie lover recognises from the Bond formula in a modern James Bond. Then came the below average Tomorrow Never Dies, then the all-out crap World is not Enough and now this. By this time, any respectable human being can realise that the formula has been lost forever in a hurricane of obssession-with-the-21st-century! However, it's not all bad. Viewers are blessed with a pretty cool hovercraft chase scene (although mainly its compensation to the idiots-decision of having Bond and his comrades impossibly SURF into North Korea on, you guessed it, some kind of super-spy mega surf board)! But then your lost once again as the awful theme-song by Madonna that sounds nothing like a James Bond theme song (more like something you'd hear in a rave/fetish club) and your greeted with what should have been a harrowing and groundbreaking scene of Bond being captured and tortured, although its done so recklessly that the whole thing just seems idiotic and pointless to the movie and its story (which it is)! As expected the film is laden with the kind of crap you watch then just think 'Why? Why did they even consider putting that in?'! Bond comes out of cardiac arrest fit as a flea and escapes from his MI6 hospital boat on his mission of revenge towards his tormenters. He meets the baited-out breasts and mediocre acting skills of Harry Berry (who he f*cks, wow, now thats a script) and, woah, she happens to be a spy too, with exactly the same mission as Bond. Well sh*t me up, if you havn't left the cinema by this time then I recommend it. I won't bore you with details but the story is mostly the same as the past 'modernised' Bond films including a crap villain and a stupid plan that would never actually work and involves no thought or imagination whatsoever, once again, unlike the Bond formula! Another bait giveaway to the downfall of the Bond movies is the first ever serious use of CGI which has got to be the worst part of the film. It looks awful, its not needed, it destroys any possibilty of this ever satisfying your movie urges once you watch a 16-bit Bond surf over the Arctic sea with a wind-surfing contraption he fashioned in mid air out of a sail and the bonnet of a rocket-car (im not lying), it still works though you know?! The torrent of typically crap British actors sours the deal with Pierce Brosnan being the only real-deal (despite a still much worse performance then usual). Bond has now decided to rely on some form of totally ideal, unrealistic gadgetry to escape sticky situations rather then his cunning as was previously a fine point of the older films (although he still needs to use wire-cutters to get through a wire fence). A pathetic joke at the expense of moneypenny. An ice palace. A robot suit. I don't really need to go on. Basically, just use your fiver to go out and buy ANY other classic Bond film on VHS and watch that instead. Dont say i didnt warn you!
I wasted about 2 hours of my life watching this!?? - Die Another Day Reviews
Oh my goodness what was I thinking watching this must of been because I had nothing else to do! Pierce Brosnan must stop playing Bond if he knows what is good for him! Halle Berry in this movie?!???! Ok this was probably the worst one of all of them! Only Zao was the best person in this! I wish Bond could die and we wont have to watch this stupid dumb idiotic crap of a bond movie! Go watch Goldfinger, The Man with the Golden Gun, Licenese to Kill! Those r the best ones! Pierce Brosnan u SUCK

Worst movie ever - Die Another Day Reviews
This one ranks right up there with Snoop Dogg's "Urban Menace" and that horrible movie entitled "The Mod Squad" (not to be confused with "The Monster Squad" which was awesome!). This is quite possibly the biggest waste of time and money ever. Don't buy it, don't rent it, and don't even think of watching it at a friend's house. If you know someone that owns this movie, run, because he or she obviously has no taste in movies.
Die another day - Die Another Day Reviews
Out of all the 007 James Bond movies, this one is the worst one ever! This time the enemies are the Koreans, Noeth Koreans I belive. Pirece still makes an awesome James Bond, but the other characters and the the villians are so poor! The story was also very poor! My personal favorite James Bond is Tomorrow Never Dies. The best one. Out of 5 stars, it's a 2.5. But some parts of the movie and some fight sense were pretty awesome, but still a very poor job on this movie.
Watch this movie! its so funny - Die Another Day Reviews
Peirce Brosnan, you SUCK!!! This is the most fake acting i have ever seen! This movie has everything a five year old could imagine, from space laser beams to invisible cars, and even a robot costume. Lets name a few more... a very dumb theme song that sounds like something you would here on kids bop, a girl that bond looks at and she sleeps with him (and even turns out she is a secret agent too!), a korean man who speaks perfect english, a korean man who turns himself into an american man who never has to sleep, bond gets to sword fight with an olympic champion and he beats him. Very Very dumb lines like, "your momma," quoted by a girl named Jynx, and other dumb lines like, "the guy with expensive acne" also by Jynx, and more unreal crap. Surf boards with high tech gadgets in them, and bond surfing too(when did bond learn to surf on 50 foot waves?). You must see this to see everything. Even worse than ON HER MAJESTYS SECRET SERVICE!

A different style of bond - Die Another Day Reviews
This movie started off quite differently than what we expect of Bond films--he gets caught! The movie starts off great, he gets caught; is tortured; escapes, searches for the traitor, etc. It was a pleasant and great departure from regular Bond movies. Unfortunately, halfway through the movie, it shifts back to its natural course of get the nice car, get the lady and get the bad guy. The biggest disappointment was the new Bond girl: Halle Berry. She was terrible and didn't fit the role of a classy dame. Aside of that, the film was interesting and worth watching.
Not a bad bond, some major problems though - Die Another Day Reviews
This film has the normal set of good attributes you come to expect from a bond film, but has a few problems. Some of the digitally made scenes, like Jinx jumping off a cliff, and Bond surfing on a wave created by an iceberg, FAKE AS FAKE can be. Looked like they made it with an Atari.
Also, Im a fan of fantasy to an extent. I know that we see a lot of far fetched stunts and technology done and used by 007, but I may point out we are nowhere close to making invisible cars, comfortably warm ice castles, highly focused light beam satellites, or gentically altered humans made to look like their host. Very cliche. But the one thing todays technology can do that they didnt, was REMOVE THE DIAMOND from Johnny Tran's face. Cmon MGM\United Artists, leave Bond with a shred of dignity and believability!!!!!!!!! Brosnan don't you dare quit!! Keepem coming!!
Great movie, but not the best - Die Another Day Reviews
One of the reviewers below said it pretty clearly, this movie was not really down too earth, the beginning is great when Bond is in North Korea, it starts to go downhill when he arrives in Iceland, the setting was just kinda goofy, half the movie was filmed on ice. But trust, I enjoyed this movie alot and I'll start saying good things about it hear in a minute.
BAD PARTS- The fight scene with Bond and that big tall guy with the lasers looked like something off Star Wars. They tried to make Bond have too much humor which would not be a good thing if Bond turned into Jim Carrey(no offense Jim) but Bond is a trained killer, not a stand-up comedian, give him a little humor, but not too much. Some of the scenes are kinda lame, like Bond falling from the cliff and surfing, that was cool but a little computerized, and the invisible car was cool, but when you think about it,it was a bad idea. And there is now way that helicopter would have turned on in mid-air. I didn't think the villian was very menacing either. Bottom line, the theme song for this movie sucked.
Now, for the good parts in the movie, Bond's Aston Martin is badass, Halle Berry is HOT and she kicks butt! I love the action and fighting scenes in the movie, espically the car chase. So, if your still trying to decide whether I liked it or disliked it, I DID LIKE IT, i liked it alot, I just thought it had some flaws, such as that the stunts were too computerized, they should have made them like the ones in Goldeneye, which looked much more realistic and dangerous. Even the best movies have flaws though, I can't wait for the next Bond film set to come out 11/05. Rumor has it that Peirce Brosnan won't be in the next one, they say he's too old, hell he's only 50! Sean Connery is like 60-something and he still does action movies. OH well, just a rumor, see this film if you haven't it a great Bond film, honestly

How could you give this a b rating - Die Another Day Reviews
this movie is exiting and to action packed to get a B if you like Pierce Brosnan or James bond you`ll love this movie personally I think its his best yet and I say yet becouse...James Bond 21... is coming out in a year or two so you never know until that comes out. If you like this movie then you might like these James Bond The World Is Not Enough, the rest of the James Bond movies, Charlies Angels, Charlies Angels 2:Full Throttle, Termanator 1,2 and 3, Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, and Lethal Weapon 1,2,3,4,5.
Bond 20 was ok but i've seen better. - Die Another Day Reviews
Bond 20 was to out there,it was kinda like moonranker, a good movie, but was not down to earth, lookes like since they held off shooting the movie for a year, they would of came up with a better story line,I mean don't get me wrong i liked the movie, I went to see it twice, I just wish the next bond flim has a more sense of style, more panache, and the invisible car...bad idea, I mean it was cool in all, but come on, be real with this stuff. The effect were fake, in the other bond flims there were real or at least looked real, the part when bond had fell off the cliff and was serfing that looked so cheap, if you are going to make for a good bond flim do it right make all the stunts real, or at least look real. My idea of a good bond flim is Goldeneye, it had all the right stuff, all the stunts were done beatuifully and looked great. But don't get me wrong it was ok, but I hope bond 21 is alot better than this one.
Great story and adventure - Die Another Day Reviews
I am not sure why some viewers were so negative about this film. This one has a very solid plot among any recent James Bond film. Although an invisible car seems improbable, it would not ruin your enjoyment that the story brings to you.

Great - Die Another Day Reviews
This is probely one of the best pierce Brosnan bond films. More action and a harder mission. Tommrow never Dies is his worst bond film. The world is not enough is pretty good. GoldenEye is his second best. The sad part is that this is his last bond film.Who knows he might return in the next bond film.
My first bond film ever! - Die Another Day Reviews
For some of you this film may have been to much like every other Bond film. But for me, because I've never seen one, this movie is fresh and completely mind blowing. I am glad that I've finally crawled out from the rock that I've been under and went and saw this one. WooHoo!!!
A big jinx on bond - Die Another Day Reviews
Here are the Bond movie awards, covering all movies From Dr. No to Die Another Day:
-Worst Bond Director: Lee Tamarohi
-Worst Bond Girl: Halle Berry
-Worst Bond Villian: Toby Stephens
-Worst Bond Movie: Die Another Day
-Worst Bond Story: Die Another Day
-Worst Bond Song: Die Aother Day by Madonna

Bond 20 is good, but compared to the other bonds? - Die Another Day Reviews
James Bond fans had to wait an extra year for this movie to come out, because Pierce Brosnan wanted a year off from playing James Bond. You would think that with the extra year, the wirters could come up with something semi original, but sadly this doesn't happen. You would think that the end result would have been better. This is the 20th movie in the series and this movie borrows something from every film. I am a huge James Bond fan, and I wish the writers could come up with something original. Bond being captured was a step into the right direction. And for those of you who think Bond should never be captured and that he should always get away, read Ian Fleming's first Bond book, Casino Royale. Bond in that book is tortured. There are two things that I didn't like about this movie that really stand out at me and those are Halle Berry and director Lee Tamahori, but lets first go over why I didn't like Berry. The reason why I didn't like Halle Berry much is because of the character she played, Jinx. Jinx is a fellow agent and helps James Bond towards the ending of the movie. Since Halle Berry played the role I think she kinda took the spolight away from James Bond. Its a James Bond movie and its biggest character should be James Bond. Also, I didn't like the short haircut she had throughout the movie. With the exception of Carey Lowell, I don't think any other Bond girl has had short hair. The Bond girls should look feminine not masculine. Also, if they are planning on making a Jinx movie, I think this is a dumb idea. Who would want to see that movie? Now on to Lee Tamahori. I hate what Tamahori did in this movie and that is the overusage of CGI. Bond movies should never contain CGI unless its to improve a shot or to create something that isn't there. CGI in a Bond film should never be used during a major action scene. When I saw Bond parasurfing down the waterfall, I laughed. It looked really pathetic and poorly done. Bond should not become like a XXX type movie in which an action consists of more CGI, instead of using stunt men to perform the stunts themselves. The Bond movies have been famous for using real stuntmen and have tried to stay away from CGI. In Bond 21, there should be next to NONE of CGI Die Another Day is Pierce Brosnan's Moonraker. Ever Bond actor has had a movie like this. Then the next movie to follow would be a more down to earth Bond movie, which is what I think should/will happen in Bond 21. The next film should be just like what the producers did after making Moonraker, in making For Your Eyes Only, which I think is one of the best Bond movies. Bond needs to be more realistic in the next movie, or else the series will go down a path in which it doesn't want to go. That path would lead them to being like standard action movies that are unbelievable and sometimes funny to laugh at. BOND 21 MUST BE A FOR YOUR EYES ONLY TYPE MOVIE, I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. As for Pierce Brosnan, I think Bond 21 should be his last. He is 50 right now and by the time this movie will be out, he will either be 51 (2004 release) or 52 (2005). He is getting up there in age, and I think it showed in Die Another Day. Then once he leaves the series, the film after that (Bond 22) should be released in the year 2007 because of the 007 on the end. Who would be my top choice to replace Brosnan? IMO, I think Hugh Jackman would be the best for the job with Christian Bale being second and Clive Owen third. I think Jackman just fits the part perfectly and by the time 2007 rolls around, he would be around the right age. The same can be said for Bale. I think if Owen were to be cast, I think we would get the same type of Bond movies that Dalton made, and the general public didn't like those movies, especially License to Kill which opened to a 4th spot at the box office in the summer of 1989. I thought Dalton was good and I would rank him 4th out of the 5 Bonds. I know that sounds bad, but the first three were just better than what he did and that is saying something, Dalton was really good. Overall, I liked Die Another Day because it was part of the Bond series. I thought some of the action scenes were good (exception of the parasurfing)and the music as well. It is nowhere near being a classic Bond movie, but its good for what it is.
An addicting action movie - Die Another Day Reviews
This movie will have you addicted to it for a very long time. This movie can join the rest of the great James Bond movies. All James Bond fans will love this movie. Even people that are not James Bond fans will love this movie. The sound system for this movie is also excellent. This movie will be loved by everyone.
The lee berry jinx - Die Another Day Reviews
After Dr. No, all Bond sequels as of "From Russia With Love" to "The World Is Not Enough" have all lived up to the billing. They have always matched up with their tradition for around 40 years, but not this time. Die Another Day is a huge letdown to the Bond series. The movies starts off pretty well, until the horrible title song comes (again the worst bond song of all time), then it regains the momentum for some time for instance the scene when Bond is released is well executed. The hospital escape scene and Bond's entry to the hotel are highly admirable. Sadly, after that the movie completely disappoints. I even wonder if it is a Bond movie or a Jinx movie.
This movie uses objects of all the previous movies as a tribute to other Bond movies - a good idea. Unfortunately, the movie itself isn?t substantial enough. The soft references from other movies are well implemented for e.g. Bond using a pen device for breathing from Thunderball, laser from Goldeneye, Q Lab showing all old gadgets are fantastic. However, Halle Berry?s entry completely ripped off from Dr. No is extremely disgraceful. It was a historic scene featuring U. Andress, which shouldn?t have been ripped off like this. Her character is given unnecessary importance in the movie, just because she?s an Oscar-award winner. The moment she enters the movie, Bond takes a backseat and the whole movie seems to be Jinx oriented. It doesn?t look like a Bond movie after that. James Bond becomes a second-fiddle in the movie.
-Halle Berry is a highly overrated actress and in this movie and you can see why. She portrays the worst Bond girl ever.
-Brosnan is good as Bond once again. Unfortunately the movie completely lets him down.
-Rosamund Pike is okay, but she doesn?t get much scope, contrary to the significance to her role. Thanks to the other Bond girl who robs the entire spotlight.
-Toby Stephens isn?t convincing at all. The same goes for his henchman.
-Judi Dench is efficient as usual.
The biggest setback is Lee Tamarohi?s direction. Despite of using the old references in the movie, the director wants to break away from the tradition, which is absolutely preposterous. Putting the entire limelight on Jinx ahead of Bond completely change the perception of the movie. Showing Bond smoking a cigarette in this period is absurd and needless. After the first 20 minutes, Tamarohi bungles up badly; hence, the film loses the grip. Action sequences good as usual, but in general, the movie is a total failure.
